Welcome to nelsnotes.com, a site to engage, enlighten, empower and encourage women. I have been working hard and hope you will enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I want to explain this site so you can easily maneuver around. There is nothing worse than going to a website and not being able to find anything, or being bombarded with ads and having no way to decipher what is content and what is not.
This is a site that is set up as a “business” with a “blogging” element. What does that mean exactly?
It means I have my main pages, these will remain the same:
- Me, Myself and Inspiration (home)
- Bloodlines (family)
- #Fempire (my favorite)
- Playful Palette (everything I love)
- Notes *(every blog post ever)
- Sponsors (Investors, Marketers, Supporters)
- Time to discuss (Forums for women to discuss any and everything)
And my Notes. These are my newest blog posts.
They will appear on any of the correlating pages (if you’re looking for the blog post that has info on a particular subject, you can find that post on that subject page) and all of the posts can be found on my “NOTES” page. So for example, if you are looking for a good scary movie to watch you would go to my “MOVIES” page and scroll through the movies I have reviewed, alternatively you can access any movie reviews on the “NOTES” page.
And if you still cannot figure it out, THERE IS A SEARCH BAR! Thank god for search bars.
The menu can be found at the bottom of the home page, (once you scroll down you get a little preview of each page). Or the top of each page.
Time to discuss is a forum, a page to let it all out. Any topic is up for discussion. If you want to join in on the discussion make sure to set yourself up with a fun (can be anonymous) screen name and join in. I want you to feel comfortable. New mom, having a tough time adjusting? Finances in the pits? What about a dealing with a less than stellar boss? Or maybe you want to discuss a new technology that you cannot seem to get enough of. Whatever it is, start a conversation and feel confident that you will not be judged and get some honest feedback.
Also, one of my favorite additions, a “pin it” button. If you love Pinterest as much as I do, you can create a new board like #girlboss, or #motivatewomen #badasswomen and pin your favorite articles.
I hope this guide helps to clear things up. If you have any additional questions please feel free to leave a message below!
