When four lifelong friends-Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish-travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush. James Lopez, head of motion pictures for Will Packer Productions, and Preston Holmes, executive produce.
WATCH IT, JUST WATCH IT
This movie is exactly what you need right now! The summer is almost over, the kids and heat are driving you crazy, you are questioning all your decisions in your life. A much needed girls get together is in order. However the likelihood of getting your girls together spur of the moment is slim at best. So tell your tribe to tell their husbands that you need to go grocery shopping sans kids and sneak in a quick flick. Hit up the Movie Tavern and enjoy a glass of vino while doing so. You will be so happy you did.
This is a laugh out loud, riot. This movie immediately puts a smile on your face and makes you wish you had enough time and money to get away immediately with your tribe.
A group of 4 lifelong friends haven’t seen each other in 5 years. They get together courtesy of Ryan ( a very successful TV personality) at the Essence festival and hilarity ensues.
Without giving too much away their adventures get them into a bit of hot water and they are forced to deal with some real life issues. Each look at each other as a mirror. The truth is there in each others faces and it only takes a couple days to get clarity. It is funny how your true friends can be the mirror you really need to see.
There a couple stand out scenes that you cannot help but LOL loudly (dance off, Club scene, and ziplining) and others where you can truly feel the characters pain. The nod to Set it Off was amazeballs. Love me some Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Grab your tickets today! For some much needed girl time.
