When three overworked and under-appreciated moms are pushed beyond their limits, they ditch their conventional responsibilities for a jolt of long overdue freedom, fun, and comedic self-indulgence.
This movie is just the ‘TITS” I am absolutely a complete and utter fan of all things “Bad Moms”. I went to the theater with members of my tribe and have watched this movie 100 times over ever since.
From the start you jump into the world of Amy Mitchell, a mom who does EVERYTHING for her kids. Sound familiar? You watch her navigate her day as she does what moms do. You know that dreaded question posed by many men across america “so what did you do today?” As if raising HUMAN BEINGS isn’t enough, tack on the day to day tasks of just making sure the house doesn’t fall down and you barely have half a second to enjoy a number #2 in silence. She finds her husband is involved in an online tryst with a seriously hairy bushed (don’t be squeamish) woman and embarks on her new found clarity.
Not to give too much away but the supermarket scene is eerily familiar. (I admit to nothing) and the commentary feels like I wrote the movie myself. The scenes to come are a treat and incredibly entertaining.
Generally movies are an escape, they are a chance to enter a world if only for 1 hr and 1/2. But watching Bad Moms feels like I am watching a loose version of my own life. I have passed the baby stage and am in the school year stage. Constantly pulled in every direction and for the life of me cannot gauge if I am actually doing right by my children. I have lost my self a bit and a excited to rediscover who I truly am. Although I am adamant about not raising entitled children I feel like sometimes I fall short on instilling an independent mindset and an Attitude of Gratitude philosophy. Watching this movie is validating and fun.
I recommend this highly, as a matter of fact I believe you will fall in love with this movie as much as I have you should just buy it.
